Farina Restoration Group Volunteer Preseason Survey 2026
This survey has been sent to all Farina Volunteers who are registered for the 2026 Work Program.
The FRG Committee held a meeting to discuss the current middle-east conflict and the impact it might have on the operation of the FRG 2026 Work Program and particularly how it may impact Volunteers and Visitors.
At this time most SA Outback roads are closed due to the recent very wet weather. We expect that all the roads will be open before the start of the Farina work program as this time of year is usually dry. The rain has meant that there is plenty of green growth and Lake Eyre has more water than usual. This is expected to be a drawcard for both Volunteers and Tourists.
However given the current and expected disruption to fuel supplies and the increase in cost of fuel, this may have a very real impact on both Volunteers, Tourists and transport of supplies.
At this time the Committee has made no changes to the 2026 Work Program. The Committee plans to have another meeting at the end of April 2026 to decide whether changes to the work program are necessary, as this timing will allow for ordering of initial supplies for the bakery and other work program materials.
The volunteers registered for the 2026 Program are the critical element in the success of the program. As such the Committee requests that you complete this short survey promptly (by the end of March 2026).
The FRG Committee thank you in advance for the few minutes it will take to provide this feedback.
