The Farina Restoration Group is very proud to be assisting the South Australian Police Historical Society with the unveiling of a memorial silhouette and plaque for Mounted Constable Richard William SPICER on the 29th May 2026 at 10-30am.
Towards the end of the 2025 work program several of our volunteers excavated and concreted the footings for the memorial adjacent to the "Old" Police station just west of the Bakery.
Many currently serving and former Police personnel will be at the short memorial event and the public are most welcome to attend.
In the second photo is Max Slee and John White from the SA Police Historical Society and Mark Roberts from the Farina Restoration Group alongside the silhouette to be unveiled. We've kept it hidden from view until it is formally dedicated to the memory of MC Spicer who was a much liked and important member of the Farina community.
