The 2022 Week 7 Restoration Works

At last this is our new major project commencement, of the Farina Creek Railway Re-Development, to bring the rail history back to Farina. In conjunction with the turning triangle, cattle and sheep wagon already on display, we hope to put a narrow gauge Loco, the NSU 62, (donated by Steamtown Peterborough) alongside the flat bed freight wagon near the narrow gauge platform.

We have actually started to lay some sleepers and railway line (Alan, Bill & Damian) to later mount our static display. We will have to raise some funds to transport the 64 Tonne loco at substantial cost in the near future.

We have also been busy with stonework at the Transcontinental, (Lola, Eugene, Alain & Jim), laying a concrete slab to the rear of the First Aid room, collecting Mulga firewood for the oven, (Martin, Alan, Adrian & Neil), adding a new step to the ANZAC memorial cairn and feeding lots and lots of our wonderful visitors in the bakery.

What a great week!!
