The 2023 Week 7 Restoration Works

To document the activities of the Farina Restoration Group each week during our 8 week programme in 2023 we have chosen to ask for contributions of stories and photos from Volunteers and Visitors. We hope you enjoy looking at the activities and events through the eyes of our volunteers and visitors.

The following contribution to the Farina restoration story has been made by FRG Volunteer Liza Wieland:

“John and I were on the scaffolding doing some point work at The Trans Continental. A father and son came along and the little tacker looked up and said “Gee Dad, look. They’re still building it!”
The two galahs (below) were nesting in the chimney of The Trans.”

Week 7 was very busy at times (look at the number of caravans in the main street) and Kerry our head baker was leading the troops in the bakery to keep the bread and pies coming out.
